AUTHOR: TOWNE SCHERER.COM 04/23/2015: Towne Scherer Private Wealth Management BLOG:  Nine U.S. ships, including the U.S.S. Normandy, a guided-missile cruiser and the U.S.S. Roosevelt, an aircraft carrier, are being deployed off the coast of Yemen to stop Iranian ships from supplying weapons to Houthi fighters who are fighting with Saudi Arabia.  Fox News has reported that ISIS is expanding its reach into Afghanistan and Pakistan, that 3 of the ‘Taliban 5’ reconnected with militants and that there are no NATO troops in Afghanistan as the Taliban announce their spring offensive.  In the economic arena, Greece is still plagued with slow economic growth although growth strides are being seen in the Eurozone, according to the Wall Street Journal (WSJ). On a positive note, the WSJ also indicated that a survey they performed indicates that economists think the Fed will wait until September to raise rates.  Further, the economic calendar shows these important announcements this week: Existing Home Sales, New Home Sales and Durable Goods Orders.  Additionally, although the Dow has drifted back over 18,000, it has been volatile this year with the New York Times reporting that the first quarter ended with a mixed bag of earnings.  Nevertheless, Dorsey Wright has now added International Equities to their list of biased asset classes with Asia Pacific Emerging Markets and Europe Developed being the supporting sectors.  Do you feel it?  Is spring upon us with a slight change…in the weather?
