State Sponsors of Terrorism List, CA Water Restrictions, People Stopped Looking for Work

AUTHOR: TOWNE SCHERER.COM 04/08/2015: Towne Scherer Private Wealth Management BLOG:  Apparently the Nuke deal with Iran is not a deal but the framework of an agreement that allows Iran to escape punishing sanctions and to receive the capacity to get a nuclear weapon in 15 years, according to a report by CNN.  President Obama, in a speech at the White House, said this was better than another war, although no one can recall representatives at the negotiating table threatening a war with the U.S. or anyone.   Nevertheless, outside the negotiations, it was statements like, “were going to wipe Israel off the face of the earth” or “death to the U.S” made by various persons in leadership roles in Iran that raised questions about the U.S. negotiating at all.   Amazingly, these negotiations are going on while the U.S. Department of State still lists Iran as one of the four countries on the “State Sponsors of Terrorism” list. On the home front, a bad jobs report last week was overpowered by a jump in the Dow this week.  Horrific conditions have forced California’s Governor into the unprecedented step of ordering mandatory water restrictions, according to WSJ.  In other news, Bloomberg News reported that the Saudis are losing their lock on Asian Oil sales, Greece could exit from the Euro, Rand Paul is about to throw his hat into the presidential race and the “Worlds Currency Reservesare now shrinking.”  We end this week with the following economic announcements: The FOMC Minuets on April 8th and the Jobless Claims of April 9th.  Finally, according to an article in Forbes, “the labor force is 7.4 million smaller than otherwise would have been had people either not stopped looking for work or, particularly with the case of younger Americans, simply failed to start looking for work…(this) explains the big dive in official unemployment rate to 5.9%.”  How does it feel out there for you?
