Internet Regulation, Netanyahu Speech and Funding Amnesty

| March 09, 2015

AUTHOR: TOWNE SCHERER.COM 03/04/2015: Towne Scherer Private Wealth Management BLOG:  BenjaminNetanyahu, Prime Minister of Israel, spoke before a joint session of Congress this week, warning that the current Nuke deal with IRAN would “inexorably lead to a nuclear-armed Iran whose unbridled aggression (would) inevitably lead to war.” President Obama, Vice-president Biden, Secretary of State Kerry and approximately more than 50 Democrats were absent. As of this writing, the Supreme Court is hearing serious arguments about the Affordable Care Act with the availability of Obama Care’s generous tax credits at the core of the issue.  The Dow and the NASDAQ continue to flirt with historic highs while Charles Evans, Chicago Federal Reserve Bank President, suggested that “a rate hike (would) not be appropriate until early 2016.” At the end of the week Jobless Claims, Employment Situation and International Trade will be the most important indices to look for on the financial calendar.  Interestingly, under the guise of protecting the individual from the monopolistic telecoms, the FCC adopted regulations to regulate the internet.  This interjects, for the first time, the government into one of the greatest free market capitalistic havens in America.  Further, the House approved the DHS funding bill, ending the immigration standoff.  Wait a second.  Didn’t we just have a landslide vote for conservatives in the both the Senate and the House of Representative.  Makes one wonder… who is running this show?
