Emerging Market Currencies

Emerging market currencies and the Euro are receiving downward pressure with the rise of the dollar, according to a Reuter’s report, 9/4/2018.

Emerging Market Stocks

In addition, emerging markets stocks were under pressure on concerns about inflation in Turkey and data showing South Africa had dipped into recession in the second quarter.

New Chinese Tariffs

New tariffs ending on Thursday, 9/6/2018, will allow U.S. President, Donald Trump, to follow through on plans to impose levies on $200 billion more of Chinese imports.

NAFTA

U.S.-Canada trade talks finished up on Friday with no deal to change the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) after Trump expressed to Congress he would sign a bilateral trade pact with Mexico.

Oil Climbing

Further and finally, the report pointed out that oil climbed on news of a hurricane off of US shores....or was that the Kavanaugh confirmation hearing?
