The Graduate’ was Right
90% of plastic waste in the world’s oceans comes from 10 rivers and none of them are in America, according to The World Economic Forum, 6/8/2018. Eight of rivers are located in Asia: the Yangtze; Indus; Yellow; Hai He; Ganges; Pearl; Amur; Mekong; with the remaining two in Africa: the Nile and the Niger.
So the movie ‘The Graduate’ was right, plastics are the future....in more ways than anyone could have imagined.
Locked and Loaded
About 5% of the world’s total crude output was disrupted by a drone attack on the Saudi’s Arabian oil infrastructure this past Saturday, 9/14/2019, reports Barron’s, 9/16/2019. It is strongly suspected that Iran is involved. The markets moved modestly lower on the news, with many believing that this is temporary disruption. Further, It’s effect on the U.S. economy is believed to be only limited. As Trump has indicated on such news that the US is ‘Locked and Loaded,’we shall see what we shall see!!!
