Worst May Be Best
Historically, August and September are the worst performing months of the year for the market but this year it might not be the case, touts a 7/31/2017 article by CNBC. According to the article, when July is strong the uptrend has a history of negating corrections during August and September, months which have ranked last and third to last in market performance. But don’t be surprised with some type of correction when you consider a Fed change in the Fed Fund rate is lurking out there somewhere.
A Second Special Counsel
Two dozen Republicans are pressing the Justice Department to appoint a second ‘Special Counsel,’ says Fox News, 7/28/2107. But this time, the ‘Special Counsel’ is to investigate the 2016 campaign controversies involving Hillary Clinton and the Obama administration. Recent reports in the national press have also suggested that Loretta Lynch, former Attorney General, may be included in the investigation. Such activities have resulted in many to say, “It’s about time.”
