Ride the Storm
According to an 8/12/2017 article in Forbes, stop worrying about the markets and just ride them. Contrarian signs are pointing to the probability that gains are ahead and that they may be significant. The article went on to say that ‘bouts of doubt (like now), favoritism and neglect’ can increase rates of return by adopting a contrary strategy. Like the old adage says, ‘the bull market climbs a wall of woe.’
North Korea and Charlottesville
A white nationalist rally in Charlottesville, Virginia, ended with a counter protest with one counter protester run down and killed, reports a Fox News 8/13/2017 article. Further, the article also addressed President Trump’s message to North Korea that the U.S. military is locked and loaded. This comment comes on the heels of recent reports that Korea may have ICBMs that can reach the U.S. mainland and that they may have nuclear capacity. This comes as a backdrop to Korea’s threat to Guam while the U.N. unanimously votes to impose new strict sanctions.
