‘Winnie the Pooh’ Gets Pooh-Pooh’d
‘Winnie the Pooh’ apparently is being blacked out from Chinese social media before the Communist Party Congress this fall in an attempt to censor efforts to draw comparisons between President Xi Jinping and the cartoon bear, reports CNBC 7/16/2017. The crackdown maybe related to past comparisons of the cartoon bear to Xi Jinping that involved meetings with Barack Obama and Shinzo Abe.
Fear A.I…. like…. The Terminator???
In a speech at a gathering of U.S. governors, Elon Musk says artificial intelligence will replace jobs in the future, with transportation being effected the most at the outset, according to a 7/17/2017 CNBC report. However, invoking visions of the movie ‘The Terminator,’ Musk says the most alarming thing may involve ‘deep intelligence’ in the network, where A.I. may start a war by doing fake news or spoofing email accounts or doing fake press releases to manipulate information. I don’t know about you, but I’m looking at my microwave very differently these days.
