Fed Up With Lower Rates

Fed up with lower rates, Janet Yellen, Federal Reserve Chairwoman, announced that it would raise short-term interest rates to 1.25% and planned to reduce the bank’s $4.5 trillion portfolio of bonds and assets, according to the WSJ June 14, 2017. So far the markets haven’t moved much on the news.

Mueller Morphing Investigation

Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich has now accused Robert Mueller, Special Counsel, appointed to investigate ties between President Trump’s campaign and Russian officials, of being the tip of the ‘Deep State,’ which is trying to destroy, undermine and cripple president Trump. Further, Gingrich believes that Mueller has brazenly redefined his tasks to that of setting up a dragnet of obstruction and financial questions to disrupt the Trump presidency, reports a 6/15/2017 Washington Examiner article.

The Republican House Whip is Shot

At a Republican baseball practice for a Fund Raiser, a Bernie Sander’s supporter fired a ‘hail’ of bullets, injuring several people, including the Republican House Whip, Rick Scalise, who is now in critical condition, says a FOXNEWS report 6/14/2017. Unfortunately, after the event, a House Republican received an email to her congressional office, states a June 14, 2017 CBS News report, which included the following subject line: “One down, 216 to go…” This action comes in the wake of the Comey and Sessions testimony that did not go badly for President Trump. Oh my…It’s getting a little crazy out there.
