Dow Zooming Past 31,000?
The Dow could exceed 31,500 by the end of the 2020 or sooner, says Ed Yardeni, president of Yardeni Research, reports CNN 7/16/2019. His rational, however, is not based on fundamentals, but upon his belief that Trump’s trade war will corner the Fed into introducing easy money. This report, completed near the mid-point of 2019, is without the effects of the government shutdown of the economy as a result of the coronavirus outbreak. Nevertheless, it does give reference to the momentum the market was experiencing before the first six months of 2020. Further, since the Dow Low of 18,213 on Marche 23rd the market has climbed to 25,322 as of this writing, suggesting that when the coronavirus fades the future may be bright.
