The longest winning streak in twenty years, since 2004, was just accomplished by the S and P 500 this last Friday, says Yahoo! Finance 5/2/2025. This market correction wiped out the Trump tariff losses as the trade war cooled.
Further, a 'monthly US jobs report' on May 2nd, showing better than expected numbers, helped drive the market.
In addition, as reported in the article, countering a ‘sell-America’ theme which popped up last month, Scott Bessant, Treasury Secretary, has put forth that the Trump Administration’s policies will solidify the US as the “premier destination, for global investment in the world.
