Recent Market Upturn Catalyst
‘The market turnaround from last December’ is being credited to the new posture of the Federal Reserve Bank, says a Reuter’s 4/3/2019 article. Apparently, the Federal Reserve, which has suspended interest-rate hikes, will soon halt bonds rolling off its balance sheet. The resulting drop in safe-haven yields like Treasuries has been an impetus for riskier assets. And, risker assets mean good news for equities, I think the logic goes.
