4/21/2023 Will Sleeping Bears Awaken?
Bears are sleeping now, but may wake up hungry if the S&P 500 doesn’t break 4200 in the near term, reports MarketWatch 4/20/2024. Althoughthere is support in the 4050-4070 level, with additional support around 3970, the article suggests a decline below 3950 would most likely garner some serious selling.Yet, the bears appear timid for the moment, with some pundits even saying that after this quarter the market may breakout. Further, some have also suggested that investors need to own assets that can survive a bear attack, some scrapes and bruises along the way.
As one humorous antidote once pointed out,
'you don’t have to run faster than the bear that’s chasing you;
you only have to run faster than the person who’s
running away from the bear with you.'
So…lace up your tennis shoes tight!!!!
And... be prepared to enjoy the plunder of your survival…
