A Recession
A recession as a result of the coronavirus is ….already here, says Vox 3/26/2020. For the sake of public health, Vox argues, we are sacrificing part of our economy. The restaurant industry, air travel, auto manufacturing, hotels, gyms, cruise lines have halted operation. Waves of layoffs are taking place across the country and oil prices have plummeted. Conclusion: America will not recover until the public health part is solved.
2 Trillion Deal to Help the Economy
A $2 trillion package to help the economy was passed on 3/25/2020 with a unanimous Senate vote of 96-0, reports CNN 3/26/2020. The House is supposed to vote on the stimulus plan tomorrow. On such news the markets moved positively.
