The October Effect…Buy or Sale???
The October Effect refers to the historic psychological effect which has manifested itself into the feeling that the stock market will fall, says Investopedia 10/15/2019. The geneses of this conclusion can be tied back to these sentinel October events: The Bank Panic of 1907, The Stock Market Crash of 1929 and our Black Monday of 1987. Nevertheless, September, actually, not October, has more historical down markets. This argues that October maybe the greatest contrarian month for investment. You know, buy low and sell high, but logic often does not outweigh human.....emotion!!!
