Is that Santa Out there?
The markets moved higher, bonds fell and transports soared after several days of positive news this Friday, October 15, 2021. This included a 10/14/2021 AP report showing jobless claims dropping to 300,000, the lowest since before the Corvid. Further, a CNBC 10/15/2021 article indicated an upward earnings surprise and an unexpected .07% increase in retail sales adding to the market’s positive direction, despite inflation fears, distribution problems and the potential for higher interest rates. Looks like Santa Clause may show up just in time…
